The South African Communist Party, has strongly rejected the latest allegations against the General Secretary of the party, Blade Nzimande.

This comes after allegations that Nzimande received R500 000 from a businesman, known as, “Charles Modise”as a donation to the party.

“The allegations against Nzimande look very suspicious to us because nobody spoke to us in a formal way on these allegations,” says the National Chairperson of the SACP. Gwede Matoshe.

Matoshe says that they read about the allegations in the newspaper like any other individual.

"To us this is like money laundering and the matter needs to be investigated," adds Matoshe
