The Democratic Alliance supports the underlying of the Local Government Laws Amendment Bill that will be tabled in parliament very soon.
“We support the underlying purpose of this New Law Amendment Bill because it’s a long overdue effort to crack corruption and it also tight the administration of the municipality,” says DA media spokesperson Martin Slabbert.
Slabbert says that the DA believes that municipality should be allowed to choose whether they want ward committees and it should not be forced in them.
