Khayelitsha man left dead after vigilante attack

One man was left for dead in Khayelitsha after an alleged vigilante attack on Monday. 

It was reported that a man who was suspected of being a burglar was assaulted and necklaced in the Nkanini Informal Settlement.

Captain FC van Wyk said the motive of the killing is not known at this stage, and police have no suspects. 

Van Wyk said while attending to the scene a male burnt to death was found, there were wires of a tyre which shows he was burnt with a burning tyre.

Furthermore Van Wyk adds that the body has been taken to Tygerberg mortuary, the victim is unknown at this stage and murder docket has been opened for investigation.
