President Thabo Mbeki’s office has urged anyone with evidence of corruption against him to come forward.
Spokesperson Mukoni Rathitanga was reacting to suggestions in the media claiming that reports will be published in the next few days, alleging the President Mbeki gave R2-million to ANC President Jacob Zuma and another R28-million to the ruling party.
It has also been reported that the German shipbuilding conglomerate MAN Ferrostaal has already rejected allegations that it paid President Thabo Meki millions of rands to secure contracts in South Africa’s arms deal.
Meanwhile President Mbeki has joined ANC leader Jacob Zuma on stage at Loftus Versfeld today, continuing former President Nelson Mandela’s birthday celebrations. They joined Madiba on stage to address the huge crowd.
