Over the Easter weekend, various campaigns were put in place to stop reckless and drunk driving on the roads.
Police and traffic officers worked to lower the death toll.
On one campaign traffic officers nabbed 19 motorists for talking on their cell phones while driving, within the first 90 minutes of the campaign.
The City was considering starting a database where if a motorist commits the offence a third time, the cell phone would be seized.
