Hundreds of people queued for hours to book for their learner’s and drivers licence appointments at Gallows Hill Traffic Department in Green Point on Wednesday.
“We experiencing it mostly at our testings and the pace at which we move is how the system allows us to work, that being the inative system," says Gallows Hill Traffic Department spokesperson Searle Johannes.
Others complained about the disorganisation and many closed counters.
“The increase in demand is primarily the reason for this greater demand and the long queues, we have maximum capacity in terms of our staff and all our areas are manned," says Johannes
Johannes added that if they put it into perspective then the service delivery that they are providing as a city is presently operating at an optimal pace and maximum strength.
