A third man has been arrested by police, in connection with the murder of five-year-old Dillon Meiring who was shot dead during a robbery in Kraaifontein.
“A 19-year-old man was arrested at 2am at his home in Kraaifontein. The investigation continues,” says police spokesperson, Siphokazi Mawisa.
Dillon was shot after a 67-year-old man was robbed at gun point, in front of an Engen-garage on the N1 near Kraaifontein on Friday.
The suspect will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate Court on Thursday July, 26.
Meanwhile on further investigations police arrested a 23-year-old man for possession of unlicensed firearms.
“They appeared in court on Tuesday,” says Mawisa.
Mawisa added that, it was not known at this stage if he was involved in the robbery.
