A search for a 12-year old Phumlani Tshotsho who went missing on Thursday in Vlei near N2 at Khayelitsha has been called off.
“Police divers searched from 10am to 2pm yesterday. We decided to call off the search after being hampered by dense weeds,” says police spokesperson Siphokazi Mawisa
Phumlani and his older brother Sibelele were playing near the vlei on Thursday when two men who frightened the boys.
Mawisa added that police had still not found any sign of the boy and had to call off the search yesterday after additional equipment from the fire department failed to arrive.

I can't understand WHY the search for this young boy has been called off - because equipment failed to arrive?!?
