A man and a woman were shot dead and another man wounded in a shooting incident that occurred at a house in Bonteheuwel last night.
Police on patrol in the area arrived at the scene after a complaint of a possible shooting incident at Soetdoring Street.
“Three gunmen were seen running from the house and jumping into a white VW Golf vehicle,” says police spokesperson, captain Randal Stoffels.
He added that police are in search of the men and has appealed to the public to assist in anyway possible.
“The wounded man, aged 28, was admitted to hospital in a critical condition,” says Stoffels.
The deceased man was aged 29 and the woman was 30-years-old. Their identity has not been made known to the public yet.
Meanwhile in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein, Vuyisayi Mthyobile a taxi driver, was shot dead by a man who fired several shots at him in front of a house. One of the bullets hit him in the head and he died at the scene.
“The suspect fled the scene on foot and is still at large. We believe the shooting is possibly linked to taxi violence,” says Stoffels.
