A 26 year old male suspect was arrested earlier this morning for attempted murder after he shot a 22 year old man in the left leg at Edinburgh Place in Atlantis.
The victim informed police that two men tried to rob him and got shot in the leg. The 22 year old man was taken to Wesfleur hospital. On arrival at the hospital, he identified one of the suspects, who was walking near the hospital.
Police and security guards at the hospital apprehended him and the suspect fired several shots at the them.
He fired at the police officials, who returned fire and wounded him in the stomach. The suspect was taken to Somerset Hospital and is under police guard.
