A Greyhound bus carrying 42 people has overturned about 20-kilometers outside of Harrismith in the Free State this morning.
The cause of the incident is still not known. It is, however believed that the bus had stopped on the side of the road as it was broken down.
The bus then rolled down a slope while people were working on it. It then overturned and landed on its roof.
Netcare 911 and provincial paramedics arrived at the crash site to find that 16 people were injured. One had sustained serious injuries while 15 others escaped with only minor injuries.
Paramedics transported the injured to the Harrismith Provincial hospital.
