A19-year-old died after a heavy trailer ran over him

Netcare 911 paramedics this morning attended to an accident in Devon, East of Johannesburg, whereby a 19-year-old was killed after a heavy trailer ran over him.

It is believed that the young man was on the trailer that had been pulled by a tractor at the time when he fell off. 

ER24 Spokesperson Christo Venter said paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the 19-year-old had sustained quite serious injuries and several procedures had to be performed to assist him.

Venter added that unfortunately their efforts to save his life proved unsuccessful as he passed away shortly thereafter.
