The Western Cape Department of Education has warned matrics who will be part of the matric rage to be careful and responsible.

MEC Grant said he was pleased that the Western Cape Government will be taking a no-nonsense approach when it comes to road and community safety during this period.

Ministerial Spokesperson Bronagh Casey said this event has been overwhelmed with incidents of reckless behaviour and some have led to death.

Casey added that the government will keep an eye on the upcoming event and ensure that those found breaking the law will be dealt with accordingly.
