Newly built Ruyterwacht Community Day Centre opened

Western Cape MEC of Health Theuns Botha officially opened the newly built Ruyterwacht Community Day Centre on Wednesday. 

The facility costs R11 million with an additional health technology budget of R2.5 million. 

The provincial health department also will conduct monthly outreach programmes including family planning, HIV testing and breast examinations. 

Departmental Spokesperson Sithembiso Magubane said the centre will cater a community of more than 7000 people and mostly it’s the elderly people.
