On Friday evening, Potchefstroom
paramedics responded to an accident on the N12 just outside of Potch towards Johannesburg
A truck and two light motor vehicles had collided into one another, where the rear passenger of a VW Polo Vivo had been left with such severe injuries that he had died on scene.

ER 24 Spokesperson Vanessa Jackson
said the front passenger was in a critical condition having suffered broken
bones and a head injury, and he along with the driver of the vehicle who had
suffered minor injuries, were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for
further care.
