Western Cape police are currently investigating a case of police brutality which took place at Cape Town CDB.

This is after a video showing police officers kicking a naked man on the street with his hands tied was posted on social media by a bystander.

Police Spokesperson Thembinkosi Kinana said any acts of police brutality will not be tolerated in any form and those responsible will face the full might of the law.

Kinana said the police management is currently viewing the video in question and an investigation into the matter is underway, and once finished we will make sure that a decisive action is taken.

“At this stage we would like to ask the public to exercise some restraint and patients to allow the process of the investigation to take place” Kinana added.
