The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa said it is concerned about the unpreparedness of hospital when it comes to load shedding.
Denosa Spokesperson Sibongiseni Delihlazo said in the past hospitals are not taking the necessary measures to ensure that they are prepared for blackouts including servicing generators.
Delihlazo said hospitals in the rural areas will be the hardest hit in all of this and government need to look at the closely because patients are affected.
He added that the managers of hospitals need to ensure that they equipped with all necessary tools because that is their job.
