The Democratic Alliance has welcomed the decision by the Parole Board of the Correctional Services Department to revoke the parole of the so called Waterkloof two.

The two were rearrested after a video of them drinking and partying the night before their release went viral.

DA MP of Correctional Services James Selfe said it was quite clear us, the two had showed no remorse and the prison sentence imposed on them was largely meaningless because they were able to smuggle contraband into their selves and have a party and enjoy themselves. That is not the purpose of imprisonment

“Imprisonment is there to correct deviant behaviour and rehabilitate we hope that this will send out a message not only to the two concerned but to anybody else,” Selfe said.
