Two men aged 24 and 26-years-old were arrested on Wednesday in Knysna for being in possession of 40 bags of dagga worth R1million.

Southern Cape Police Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie said this is the second major drug bust this week and this proves that they are taking great strides in their fight to eradicate illegal drugs.

Pojie said Southern Cape Police pulled over a suspicious vehicle which was a VW Combi that was traveling towards George.  Police searched the vehicle and found 40 bags of dagga.

“Both suspects have been arrested and are currently being detained at the Knysna police station and are expected to appear in court soon” Pojie added.
