While freedom day is celebrated by the
ruling party on the 27th of April, Abahlali
baseMjondolo will hold their Unfreedom Day Rally today at 11am at Cato Crest Sport Ground.
They will use this opportunity to condemn
xenophobia and to remember our fallen heroes and heroes with a special gesture.
Ndabo Mzimela said we will be mourning for
the Unfreedom Day Rally. Freedom that we expected is not that what we expect
it, it has never come yet.
“It is just democracy not freedom. We do
not have to celebrate and pretend as if everything is okay and pretend as if we
are free.” Mzimela added.
