The Right2Know campaign will next week be protesting in rejection of the Film and Publications Board’s Online Regulations and internet censorship.

The FPB said its draft policy on censoring the internet is raising important questions about the extent of government’s restriction when it comes to freedom of expression.

R2K has called for the scrapping on the Draft Online Regulation Policy document which was gazetted on Wednesday the 4th of March this year.

R2K’s Micah Reddy said basically what the board is asking for, is to expose a regime of prior censorship.

“Any publisher would have to first classify all information, all content for publication.” Reddy said.
