Lansdowne police reported to a murder scene in St Jones Road this morning.
A 23-year woman and a 33-year-old male were found dead on the scene.
It is alleged that the male fired shots at the female, before turning the gun on himself.
Inspector Bernadine Steyn says the motive for the crime is still unknown.
“When the woman got out of her house and into her vehicle, he approached her.”
The male’s revolver was confiscated and the police have opened a murder and inquest docket for investigation.
