A man electrocuted in veld in Pietermaritzburg

A man tragically died last night after he was electrocuted by exposed wires in a veld in Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics as well as fire services, arrived on scene and greeted by the friend’s colleague who had explained that their friend had feel some distance away.

Meiring added that paramedics treated the man for minor inquires while fire services had to go to retrieve the body of the friend.

“On assessment paramedics found that the man had already succumbed to his injuries after exposed wires found in the veld   

The man was treated for his injuries and transported for further medical treatment,” Meiring added

Exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
