Four people died in an accident in Vereeniging

Netcare 911 paramedics late on Sunday evening attended to an accident scene on the R59 in Powerville, Vereeniging, whereby four people died and a baby was critically injured.

It is believed that the car the occupants were travelling lost control and overturned several times. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon their arrival on scene they found that a motor vehicle had overturned resulting in three adults and a young boy loosing their lives, while a baby was found in a critical condition and the baby was rushed to hospital for further care.

She added that the cause of the accident will remain a subject of the police investigation.
