A man in his fourties was killed last night after he was hit by a car on the N11, 50km outside of Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal.
The cause of the accident will remain a
police investigation.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER24c
paramedics arrived on scene and found the car parked on the side of the road. A
lifeless body of the patient lay a few meters away.
Meiring said on assessment, paramedics
discovered that the man had already succumbed to his severe injuries and was
declared dead.
The driver of the vehicle fortunately did not
sustain any injuries, Meiring added.
