An accident this morning on the N11 south of
Newcastle towards Ladysmith left one person dead and six others injured.
This is after a light delivery vehicle rolled and
went down an embankment after a tyre burst.
ER24 Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said when paramedics
arrived on the scene they found one person who was ejected from the vehicle, lying
on the grass.
Bodasing said the man in his thirties was assessed and
unfortunately he had succumbed to his injuries. A woman and a man had to be
extricated from the vehicle and suffered multiple injuries.
The exact details to the cause of the accident will
remain the subject of a police investigation.
