ER24 paramedics today rushed to an accident scene in Maraisburg whereby a man died. It is believed he was flung from the back of the bakkie after it was hit by another vehicle.
ER24 Spokesperson Cristo Venter said the
man was thrown from the vehicle during the impact and after landing in the
road, was run over by one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
“As a result of the severity of his
injuries, paramedics could not do anything for him to save his life and he was
declared deceased on the scene.
Other occupants that were also passengers
on the bakkie, were not injured during the collision,” Venter added
