The Western Cape Liquor Authority reached 1 695 residents and traders during their province awareness sessions; this was what came out of their annual report this month.

The Liquor Authority also inspected more than 2 000 premises in the province which include places like Nyanga, Paarl, Worcester and Stellenbosch.

Ministerial Spokesperson Bronwynne Jooste said MEC Winde has convened on the authority to take a very proactive role in going around spreading the message on dangers of alcohol.

Jooste said the department is committed to ensure that this message reaches to all communities and others traders as well.
