The Democratic Alliance has welcomed the arrest of ANC National Executive Committee member, Pule Mabe, the head of communications of the South Africa Social Security Agency, Paseka Letsatsi, and Surprise Ramosa, a business associate of Mabe’s.
The three were arrested on Friday morning
on charges of money laundering, fraud and theft.
It is alleged that Letsatsi solicited money
from the agency into the companies owned by the Mabe and Ramosa.
Democratic Alliance Member of Parliament Mike Waters said the DA will monitor the case and the investigation to ensure that there is no political interference.
