A man believed to be in his forties
was found dead outside Potchefstroom this morning.
Paramedics said the man went missing during a canoe trip on Saturday and his family alerted emergency services about his disappearance on the same day.
ER24 Spokesperson Luyanda Majija an
emergency diving squad search operation was activated after the deceased’s
family alerted the fire department about his disappearance on Saturday.
Majija said the squad searched the dam since then and found the man dead this morning. It is still unclear how the man drowned but an investigation is underway.
