Three people have been killed and two others injured yesterday after their vehicle rolled on the Villers Road in the Vaal.

The cause of the accident will remain a subject of a police investigation.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER23 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene and found the vehicle lying on its roof under the power line running along the roadside.

Meiring said on assessment, paramedics discovered that three lifeless bodies of two woman and a man lay inside the overturned vehicle. Paramedics assessed the three patients and found all three patients had already succumbed to their severe injuries.

Meiring said two other patients were found lying outside the vehicle, their injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Sebokeng Hospital for further treatment.
