The African Christian Democratic Party wants the Western Cape Department of Education to do more to place children in schools in order to maximize their education.

ACDP Western Cape Leader Ferlon Christians says more children are joining occupied mobile schools in Dunoon.

ACDP says the children need to be placed in primary schools as soon as possible.

Christians said the ACPD is asking the Western Cape Education Department to intervene so that learners can get placed in proper schooling and have better learning experiences. “We know that schooling is the only way to get out of poverty,” said Christians.

The department is negotiating at the moment with the City of Cape Town for the continued use of the site but, the ACPD is asking and urging the Education Department to do more in order for those learners to be placed, Christians concluded.
