The Congress of People said government has failed its children in maths education.

In a statement COPE said as many as 50% of South Africa’s youth, between 15 and 35, will have no prospect of securing a job from 2017 onward.

Without wide scale mathematics education, the majority of our youth will have no future.

COPE Spokesperson Dennis Bloem said it seems to us as if government is not taking education serious especially mathematics.

“The Congress of the People are calling on people to take this thing serious and when they vote, they must vote out the African National Congress”.

The future of this country lies with our young children at the university, at school and our government is not taking them serious, Bloem added.
