The Opposition to Urban Tolling said it is
concerned about the over 500 complaints from people about receiving incorrect
bills and harassing texts regarding e-tolls.
Outa has now confirmed that it has written
to Public Protector Thuli Mandonsela for her office to be a mediate between the
South African National Roads Agency Limited and the public.
Outa Spokesperson John Clarke said the
Public Protector is an impartial body and Outa is relying on her office to
facilitate the process to bring Sanral to the table to answer to its critics
and to respond to allegations.
“We have collected hundreds of complaints
and we will be presenting the dossier to the Public Protector and also to save
her from having to have to go through each one individually” Clarke added.
