The National Sea Rescue Institute is still searching for two fishermen who went missing off shore of the Slangkop Lighthouse in Kommetijie.

The two fishermen went missing this morning and an extensive sea, air and shore search is continuing.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said it is believed that the boat suffered engine problems with four men on board and it is also understood that the boat was heat by a wave.

Lambinon further said the boat was later recovered at Hout Bay and the police together with the dive unit have been searching since the early hours of the morning.
