A man shot dead in Springs

A shooting incident this morning at the intersection of Gold Street and Industry Road in Springs left one person dead.

During the shooting one person died and another was left injured.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon the arrival on scene they found that one man sustained a serious injuries during the shooting while another man tragically lost his life.

Steinmann added the injured man was treated at the scene and transported to hospital for medical care.

The exact details to the cause of the shooting will remain the subject of a police investigation.
