New lab to combat deadly diseases unveiled

Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor on Wednesday unveiled a new lab that will help combat deadly diseases.

The new facility which comes at a cost of R30 million will be able to create devices to easily diagnose diseases such as malaria and HIV/Aids.

Minister Pandor said it is important to use science and technology to tackle poverty related diseases.


Ministerial Spokesperson Lunga Ngqengelele said part of what the screen room will do is to help our researchers and scientists in South Africa to be part of the world class and cutting edge production and publication of products that will help us in different fears.
