On Saturday morning a security official was shot after six people, one of which was injured entered a Hospital in Delft seeking medical assistance.
Two of the men allegedly became unruly because they wanted to be assisted quickly. Security officials tried to remove the two from the premises, however the other three men who were waiting outside forced their way into the building.
“A struggle occurred between the suspects and the security official during which several gunshots were fired.
The 29 year old security official sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg and was released from hospital after medical treatment,” says Police spokesperson, Inspector Bernadine Steyn.
All suspects, four men and one woman were arrested on the scene for attempted murder and are expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s court today.
