A man died after he burnt to death in Mossel Bay

A truck accident in Mossel Bay this morning left one person dead. It is believed that the truck burst into flames on Robertson Pass.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said when paramedics arrived on the scene they found the heavy truck laying on its side across the entire road.

Meiring said the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames and firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze in a 15 minute operation.

“Upon assessment paramedics discovered the body of a male laying in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his fatal injuries”. Meiring added.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
