The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape has condemned the recent gang violence which engulfed the Cape Flats over the long weekend.

About three people including an 11-year-old child was shot and wounded after two gangs started shooting at each other in Manenberg and he was caught in the crossfire.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said gang violence across the city is totally unacceptable.

Christians said we as the ACDP believes that these incidents of gang violence is totally unacceptable and it is only when communities and when departments and institutions work together in cooperation that we will have solutions to this problem, because gangsterism is entranced in communities and youngsters are vulnerable because are recruited by gang members.
