After years of struggle with Johannesburg Water the Coalition Against Water Privatisation in Soweto will be going to court.
This follows the residents of Phiri in Soweto fighting against the limitation brought about by Johannesburg Water to supply the residents with only six thousand kilolitres per house, and they are complaining that it is not enough.
According to a press statement the applicants in the case are all unemployed and living in poverty.
The Coalition says that the three days set out for the court case the people of Phiri and other regions will come together in their numbers at the Johannesburg High Court.
“We are very much looking forward to our day in court,” says spokesperson for the Coalition Against Water Privatisation Dale Mckinley
