Virginia Mokgobo former dormitory employee at the Oprah Winfrey Academy for Girls was released on R3 000 bail by the Sebokeng magistrate's court on Monday.
The ex-matron was arrested on charges of indecent assault, assault and crimen injuria.Further investigation will be conducted and the case was postponed to the 13th December 2007.
She is not allowed to leave the Vaal without informing the investigating officer. As part of bail conditions she has to report every Monday to the Sebokeng police, she can’t apply for a passport and she must not make contact with the school and the complainants.
The police received statements from six minor girls and one adult about the allegations.
Thelman Simpson, the magistrate, ordered that the names and photographs of the complainants in this case not be published.Security was tight and everyone entering the court was thoroughly searched with police saying they "did not want to take chances with security measures" according to Sapa.
