On Monday a groundbreaking agreement has been reached between the Central City Improvement District (CCID) and the Woodstock Improvement District (WID).
The Chief Operations Officer of CCID Tasso Evangelinos says that this leaves criminals with no place to hide, and brings the two areas closer in every way.
“The agreement means that, amongst other things, the notorious 2km-wide no man’s land between the Central City and Woodstock will be effectively closed,” says Evangelinos.
According to WID Chairperson, Elad Kirshenbaum, the two CID’s have been working to open new communication channels for some time.
“Woodstock is a basic part of the Cape Town metropole,” he added.
