5 year-old allegedly drowns in Bot River

A 5-year old boy was today presumed to have drowned at Bot River Old Railway Station Dam.

It is alleged that the boy and few of his friends on Wednesday went to swim in the dam when the boy presumed to have drowned.

A family friend James Pheiffer said local authorities delayed to arrive on the scene.

Police spokesperson Andre Traut said “a death inquest docket has been opened”.

Traut said police divers are still searching for the boy.
