Fire services in the Cederberg Wilderness
Area on the Cape West Coast
Scores of people were evacuated as the wall
of flames advanced.
Fire fighters, volunteers and community members refused to
back down until the last minute Spotter planes, foam bombers and helicopters
were roped in as the fire burnt high up in the mountains.
