DA welcomed its first ward in Mzimkhulu Municipality

During the weekend, Democratic Alliance National Leader Helen Zille, accompanied by DA KwaZulu Natal provincial leader Sizwe Mchunu, and Sisonke Constituency Chairperson Francois Rodgers, officially welcome independent Councillor Jabulani Chiya into the DA.

Jabulani Chiya, a former African National Congress member, stood in the 2011 Local Government Elections as an independent candidate and won ward 18 in the Umzimkhulu Municipality.

DA Spokesperson Cameron Arendse said the ward is the first ward in the district that the party holds.
