Department of housing concerened over land invasions

The Western Cape Department of Human Settlements has raised its concerns regarding land invasion of Joe Solvo. 

City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlement Ernest Sonnenberg said they are aware of the invasion and the city has applied for an interdict last year.

Sonnenberg said residents who are illegally occupying the land say they will not move. 

Sonnenberg has said this land invasion is an old piece of land, the department says they are aware and are taking action against the invaders.
