The Food and Allied Workers Union and Keurboschkloof Management on Thursday met with its members to discuss new offers of higher minimum wages and union recognition.

This follows recent protest by farmworkers in the Western Cape for better wages and better living conditions.

Workers have been a workers wage rate from R90 to R105 and R127.

Fawu’s Western Cape Provincial Organizer Sandile Keni said their belief is that members need to decide.

Keni said by Friday next week they will be sending a recognition agreement to  Keurboschkloof.
