The Commission of Inquiry into allegations of police inefficiency in Khayelitsha will resume its work again.

This comes after Police Minster Nathi Mthethwa filed an urgent interdict to stop the commission.

On the 14th of January the Western Cape High Court handed down judgment stating that the commission can start its work again.

Secretary of the Commission Amanda Dissel said there is no reason for the commission not to continue with its work and they are expected to start at the end of February.

Dissel further said they have opened their offices so that the public can come and make their statements.

The Police Ministry had said they are studying the court ruling and then they will decide what to do next.
