MEC Donald will be visiting Khayelitsha today

Western Cape MEC of Education Donald Grant will today be visiting Khayelitsha to encourage parents to help their children read, write and practise maths everyday.

Ministerial Spokesperson Bronagh Casey said the WCED’s number one priority is to improve the language and maths skills of primary school children. 

Casey said they want to encourage the parents to ensure that teaching does not end at school.

Casey added that the MEC will ride along the streets of Khayelitsha talking to parents along way; about teaching children develop reading, writing and maths skills.
